CHAMBER SEEKING RURAL TRANSPORTATION STEERING COMMITTEE
8/11/2017 11:41:45 AM

As myFM previously reported on Wednesday there was an open house at the Grand Bend Legion to discuss rural transportation.

President of the Grand Bend and Area Chamber of Commerce, Glen Baillie, says a project like this can be beneficial to everyone in the community.

Baillie says that it will take a group effort from the five area municipalities North Middlesex, Kettle Point, South Huron, Lambton Shores, and Bluewater, along with service groups to make the project a reality.

He adds the first step is to get a steering committee in place to look at potential grants and a feasibility study.

Anyone interested in joining the steering committee is asked to contact the Grand Bend and Area Chamber of Commerce.
