CHARGES LAID IN ARMED ROBBERY

    Police make arrest in armed robbery. On March 9th, members including Oneida Nation of the Tames First Nation Police Service, Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crimes Unit and the OPP executed a search warrant at property on Bodkin Road. As a result, Police charged a 16-year-old man of Oneida Nation of the Tames First Nation with offenses including Robbery Using Firearm, Disguise with Intent, Pointing a Firearm and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. The accused was held in custody and scheduled to make a court appearance in London. Back on February 17th OPP and the Munsee Delaware First Nation Police Service responded to a report of an armed robbery to a business located on Oneida Road. Police say a male entered the premises shortly before closing, threatened the male attendant with a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
