Some high schools in the area will be closed Wednesday as part of another one day strike.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation has announced that the Thames Valley District School Board and Lambton Kent District School Board high school teachers will be part of the 10 boards impacted by the walkouts. The London District Catholic School Board will not be part of this event.
On the same day, OSSTF and FEESO members in other school boards will hold information pickets in front of schools, at MPPs’ offices, and in other locations throughout the entire province.
The Thames Valley District School Board has said that as a result their high schools will be closed on Wednesday as there would not be enough supervision to ensure the student’s safety.
The board is asking all parents and guardians to arrange for alternate supervision for their children on Wednesday.
The walkout will mean that all out of school activities including field trips and sports will also be canceled. This will also result in the adult and continuing education centers to be closed.
