Shoppers Drug Mart says all of their stores are dedicating their first hour of opening to customers who need assistance. This includes the STrathroy store which will use the 8am to 9am hour for local seniors and those who are living with disabilities. It says it is also offering their 20 per cent seniors’ discount on regular-priced items during their first opening hour. This is in addition to Seniors Days each Thursday. Head office recently announced that SHoppers locations would be closing two hours earlier for the time being but Shoppers Drug Mart in Strathroy has told myFm they will not be doing that and will remain open from 8am – 10pm seven days a week. Owner Drew Peddie asks customers to follow appropriate social distancing measures while in the store. Shoppers added that they have not changed their pricing practices on key essentials, including toilet paper or hand sanitizer.
