Decisions haven’t been made yet as to whether or not day and pool camps will move ahead in Strathroy-Caradoc, despite the green light given by the province as part of Phase 2 reopenings. Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden says if they do move forward, they won’t look like they used to.
She says it’s imperative they find a solution in order to provide families activities with and for their children, while securing summer job opportunities for students. Their focus is on the safety of everyone involved the mayor said. Vanderheyden pointed to regulations coming down regarding splash pad use as an example of what they have to change, including limiting the amount of people at one time, and maybe having to add fencing.
