Kathy Manness has worked for the Strathroy & District Chamber of Commerce for over 5 years and has climbed her way to the top, and is one of myFM’s Women of Influence.
Now the CEO, Manness looked back on her career path leading up to today and said a big part of her advancing was never becoming comfortable in a role before taking on additional responsibilities.
She also credits a long-time mentor who helped her understand the business world to a great degree as a young professional.
The advice she has for young women and any young professional now remains simple: Work hard, know your stuff, and be dependable. The rest of the noise will fade out.
Manness also is an avid volunteer, something instilled in her as a child and a mantra which she continues to follow today, currently sitting or have sat on various boards and committees.
