Strathroy-Caradoc councilor, lifelong resident, avid volunteer, and co-owner of Strathroy Monuments Sandi Hipple has been recognized of one of myFM’s Women of Influence in our community.
Hipple said she never thought she would be considered someone with significant influence on anyone, outside of her children and family, and it’s an honour to now have that official distinction.
She was busy before running and winning a seat at town council, and the role of course adds to her responsibilities big time. However she says it’s the call of the community where she and her family grew up, as well as her husband’s and his family, that drove her to run. Hipple says it’s a learning curve but everyone’s so open to help out which makes the job much easier.
When it comes to volunteering, Hipple is the first to say there are far more dedicated volunteers in Strathroy-Caradoc. But all it takes to maybe put a smile on someone’s face.
Wearing lots of hats can be quite tiring at times, but Hipple says uncovering the healthy work-life balance later on into her career made her a better person all-around
