If you want to sell your house it won’t take very long. That’s the current state of the market says Anne Wolf of Sutton Wolf Realty, while rattling off a number of recent listings which sold in a matter of days, some of which for more than $50,000 than what was asked. The problem for realtors of late, Wolf says, is finding a property to sell.
Once you get a listing it’s lots of legwork. Wolf says one of her most recent homes she sold pulled in 11 offers and over 50 viewings in the span of a few days. She says one of the reasons why the housing market is uber competitive for anything under $400,000 is simply a lack of rental properties and opportunities for young families and young professionals. That forces buyers hands into upping their bid as more eyes are set on one house.
