Rob Lilbourne was recently honoured with an industry award. The Tony Brenner Mentor Award is presented to an individual who embraces the vision of the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association, and through professional conduct and service, openly shares and mentors others in the recreation facility industry. The Strathroy-Caradoc Director of Community Services said he never considered himself a mentor prior to this award.
Lilbourne says there’s a bit of a process before a winner is determined.
Lilbourne said he was surprised to receive the email – especially because finalists aren’t notified they’re in the running. He adds he’s had plenty of mentors in the industry and is very honoured to be recognized.
