As Strathroy-Caradoc and Adelaide Metcalfe Township renegotiate their servicing agreement, new development continues along Highway 81 on multiple fronts. The latest project at the corner of 2nd Street and Centre Road includes another gas station convenience store – car wash combo a Pita Pit and some office space. Township CAO Morgan Calvert tells myFM he thinks motorists are pretty well served now in that area, and that should be it for gas stations.
In edition to what is believed to be an ESSO station, Calvert says a car-wash, Pita Pit and a yet to be determined business, will be part of the new development. Adelaide Metcalfe also has another development continuing just a few hundred yards away which will house a Holiday Inn Express, Wendy’s and convenience store as well.
