With the 50/50 draw and silent auction officially over, the owners of Roy’s Restaurant have gathered $12,000 from the community. The money will go towards Chris O’Toole, a resident living with ALS and who has a daughter who serves at the local restaurant. Owners Mario and Melissa Athanasiou donated $3750 from 1-day restaurant earnings, with the 50/50 draw and auction raising $5250. Mario is ecstatic about the community support.
The winner of the draw, Dave Courtmathe, donated the 50/50 money back, and restaurant regular and local builder Jamie Looman chipped in with an additional $1,525.
