A recent generous donation to the St. Clair Region Conservation Foundation will be used to improve accessibility along trails at the Strathroy Conservation Area. Local Strathroy residents, Lynne Lawrence and Marilyn Buttery made their $10,000 donation to the Foundation, and as frequent visitors to the local Conservation Area, they said they wanted to ensure that everyone could have the opportunity to enjoy the trail system and connect with the outdoors. President of the St. Clair Conservation Foundation Duncan Skinner says “the trail improvements we will be able to complete will not only benefit our community today but will also leave a lasting legacy that will serve the community for years to come.” The Strathroy Conservation Area includes a 3-kilometre trail that winds through an established floodplain forest. The donated funds will be used to improve the accessibility of the trail system.
