Strathroy Pride raised the Pride Flag in front of Town Hall Saturday during the Strathroy Market. Many community members were in attendance and purchased pride merchandise, took photos with Drag Queens, and came together in celebration and support of the community. Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden was in attendance and says that pride is important as it gives the opportunity to celebrate everyone in our community.
Mayor Vanderheyden also addressed the crowd before the flag was raised, and ended her speech by saying “We are an inclusive community and let’s keep it that way.” Strathroy Pride also hosted online events all day like Drag Queen Story Times and performances.
