Lambton Public Health has declared swimming at Grand Bend beaches currently unsafe due to high levels of e-coli bacteria. Visitors will see warning signs posted at the beach.
The health unit regularly monitors water quality at Ipperwash, Pinery Provincial Park, C.J. McEwan beach, Bright’s Grove (including Mike Weir Park), and Canatara Park.
Sampling is not conducted along the St. Clair River. Monitoring will continue until the end of August.
