Strathroy is getting three beach volleyball courts at the Fairgrounds Recreation Complex thanks to a donation from the Damen Group and Gary Falconer Limited. Together the two groups are donating $65,000 to the project which will cost $85,000 in total. The other $20,000 Rob Lilbourne, Director of Community Services says is coming from the Progress Through Partnership Funds.
Lilbourne says this project is another one that is being done to support the idea that the pandemic has taught us, which is that the outside is good, and inside is bad.
The courts will be located between Sleepy Hollow Railroad and the tennis courts. The plan is to have them done by late fall.
