The Canadian Liver Foundation Stroll for Liver virtual event is taking place this weekend. Former myFM reporter Grant Deme is unfortunately one of 33,000 people battling Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.
Grant was diagnosed after going to the ER in January after getting jaundice, and it took 142 days to get diagnosed and in that span he did 128 tests before getting the PSC diagnosis. He tells us when he heard the diagnosis he looked up the condition right away.
After doing some research and getting on some medication Grant decided to fundraise for this Sunday’s Canadian Liver Foundation Stroll for Liver virtual event.
Money raised goes towards liver research, community support services, and Living with Liver Diseases programs.
