
Jason Henry is the New Democratic Party candidate for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex in the September 20th Federal election. He is known better to his community as Chief Jason Henry, as he is the current elected chief of the Chippewa of Kettle and Stoney Point First Nation.
Henry says that he is a family man, with three of his own kids with his wife, a nephew he is raising and five foster children currently under his care, being involved and trying to make a difference in his community is how he got involved in all of the work he does. From volunteering to being the Chief, he says that the reason behind it is he wants to make a difference and thinks his voice can do that.
There are three main issues on his platform are indigenous issues, housing especially in rural communities, and pharma-care and health care. He says that for him, it is all about joining together and working together to make a difference.
He says that everyone deserves clean drinking water, affordable housing, and if COVID has taught us anything, it is that we need to join together and fight for each other.
