The Municipality has hired a Deputy Chief of Fire, Prevention and Training, something that they initially brought forward and budgeted for a few months ago, but with the new Fire Chief starting, they decided to put it on hold. Stephen Beasley will be joining the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department on October 4th. Doug Payne, Director of Human Resources for the Municipality says that they are looking forward to him joining the department.
Stephen Beasley has 37 years of experience in Fire Service, including 26 years with the London Fire Department, as a Captain, firefighter, Training Instructor and Director of Training.
