
Middlesex County has terminated the Declaration of Emergency that was issued on September 22nd for the County due to the significant flooding throughout the region. Middlesex County Warden Cathy Burghardt-Jesson met with the Middlesex County Emergency Operations Control Group today, and following updates from the County Engineer and local emergency service personnel it was decided that they could terminate the state of local emergency as of 6pm on Thursday.
Warden Burghardt-Jesson said in the release, “a huge thank you to our Middlesex County roads crews who were on site throughout the night and early morning assessing and repairing the flood damage. It is because of their dedication that we were able to reopen our roads this morning.” She also thanked the Emergency response team, and the local municipal partners and first responders for ensuring the safety of Middlesex County residents.
