
Back in the spring, Ontario launched their new program Breaking Free Online, a tool for people who are struggling with addiction, in any stage, for them to use to help with the recovery process. It is for people aged 16 and up, and can help with any step of your recovery process, from prevention, early intervention, and rehabilitation, the 24/7 program covers over 70 substances. Aleena Needham, Implementation Lead and Volunteer Coordinator of CMHA Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services says it’s almost like a constant companion.
Needham says that so far, in Ontario over 1,600 people have used the program, and she says from the ones in our area, they have heard many positive stories and many people believe it a great tool.
