The Ontario government is investing in three regional seniors’ groups to help their members stay fit, active, and healthy. The Delaware Nation Council, Dresden Lawn Bowling Club, and Wallaceburg Senior Citizens Club are receiving grants totaling $44,700. Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton says “No matter your age, a strong network of family and friends has never been more important.” Funding for the 2021-22 Seniors Community Grant Program aims to help non-profit organizations develop programs for seniors that focus on combatting social isolation and improving overall health and wellbeing.
Successful applicants of the Seniors Community Grants are receiving between $1,000 and $25,000 to provide programs, events, learning, and social opportunities for older residents.
