If you see smoke or flames around the Falconbridge area Saturday, don’t panic. The Strathroy-Caradoc fire department is teaming up with the Elgin Middlesex Regional Fire School. This Saturday and a week from tomorrow, the department will be doing training exercises with the newly recruited firefighters.
Part of the training exercises is extinguishing multiple fires at the Fire Training Facility on Falconbridge Drive. 80 regional recruit firefighters will be trained over the next two weekends with 10 instructors from Strathroy-Caradoc and other area fire departments.
