
The Strathroy-Caradoc Police arrested and charged a male with eight firearms related charges and three drug trafficking charges recently. On Sunday, April 24th, at 4:00 pm, Police investigated a weapons incident in the area of Head Street North and Metcalfe Street East, and after a short foot pursuit the man was taken into custody. A firearm and a quantity of drugs including Cocaine, Methamphetamine and Fentanyl were located on the individual and seized as a result of this arrest. 28-year-old Jordan Deszo-Silva has been charged with;
· Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
· Carrying concealed weapon
· Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
· Carry Firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner X 2
· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
· Possession of Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
· Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking
He remains in custody and will appear in a London court in May.
