A busy week last week for Middlesex OPP. Middlesex OPP and Southwest Middlesex Fire were called for a vehicle that was on fire on Centreville Drive in Southwest Middlesex on May 19th. Police made notice that the vehicle was previously reported stolen. That same day, OPP were called to an address on Carriage road in Middlesex Centre for a dispute. As a result, a 47-year-old women from Middlesex Centre has been charged with uttering threats and mischief under $5000. The accused has been held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice. The following day, OPP performed a traffic enforcement initiative at an intersection on Hagerty Road in Wardsville. A vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and an approved screening device was used. The 42-year-old male was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment. He was charged with operation while impaired, failing to stop at a stop sign and driving with no license. The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear in court.
The Middlesex OPP wants to remind the public that if you see anything suspicious or suspect an impaired driver you should contact the Ontario Provincial Police or your nearest police authority immediately.
