There is a gap now in animal services in the Middlesex region, as a result of a recent retirement announcement. Glencoe Animal Shelter Owner Vicki Kyle will be calling it a career at the end of the month and that will leave a gap in services which affects many different communities including Warwick, Dutton-Dunwich, Adelaide Metcalfe, Southwest Middlesex, Enniskillen, and West Elgin. As of this Wednesday, June 1st, if no resolution is found, there will be a large hole in animal control for these areas. A report from Adelaide Metcalfe Council says a joint request for proposal is being worked on collaboratively by affected municipalities to fill this vacancy.
