A preliminary hearing will be held in London this December for the Nathaniel McLellan manslaughter case. The 15-month-old Parkhill boy collapsed at a day care in Strathroy back in October of 2015 and died four days later. Police originally had a theory that Nathaniel’s parents were responsible but in June of last year, police arrested Strathroy’s Meggin Van Hoof who ran the day care. A three-day preliminary hearing into the case will start December 5th with two more days in January of 2023. A two hour long pretrial will be October 12th 2022. Van Hoof has pleaded Not Guilty and will be represented by lawyer Jenny Prosser, who received full disclosure of the crown’s investigative brief earlier this year.
