Even though Strathroy-Caradoc’s Seniors Centre ended operation quite a while ago paving the way for some future development, Seniors programming in the community is growing, not out of one lone facility but all over the community. A seniors programming update was delivered to council this week by Director of Community Services Rob Lilbourne.
Lilbourne reported in regards to the former Seniors Centre, that the facility had a limited number of members and primarily was a 3rd party rental facility renting out their space to other organizations running their own programs. He adds the department will expand its programming with the addition of 10-15 new programs for seniors this fall.
Current programming that is being offered:
Aqua Fit
Badminton

Coed Pickleball

The department will expand its programming with the addition of ten to fifteen new programs for seniors this fall in addition to those listed above. New programs in development include:
Art Drop In;
Bingo (which requires a group to operate)
