A pretty prestigious award was handed out Wednesday at Strathroy Hospital to a very deserving person. Heather Dobbin, Administrative Assistant at the Middlesex Hospital Alliance and United Way Campaign Volunteer for 13 years was awarded the United Way ChangeMakers Award. Jennepher Cahill, Director of Resource Development for United Way Elgin Middlesex says the award is an important one.
When asked how the current status at the hospital is in terms of staffing, Dobbin answered directly to the point.
Dobbin added the award is more of a team award in her opinion rather than individually towards herself. Dobbin rallied her hospital colleagues to participate in an array of activities, raising an additional 89% over last year’s campaign and increasing the total dollars raised from special events.
