No need to wait for October 24th’s Municipal Election in Adelaide Metcalfe Township for who wins the Mayor’s seat as it’s already been decided. Coming off her first term as a councillor, Susan Clarke will become the Township’s next Mayor acclaimed. Originally Gerald Sanders and current Mayor Kurtis Smith were both running until Clarke’s name was entered then both gentlemen withdrew.
When asked about the relationship with neighboring Strathroy-Caradoc which has taken a hit during the service agreement renewal negotiations, Clarke says she hopes it can improve but the Township will look out for its own best interests.
Clarke has been on many boards and committees like MCL and currently sits on the farm mutual insurance board along with the community futures development corporation of Middlesex County. Here is the complete interview with Mayor Elect in Adelaide Metcalfe Susan Clarke.
