myFM continues its 2022 Municipal Election candidate features today with Michelle Gallant who is running for council in Ward 1 in Strathroy-Caradoc. Gallant has lived in Strathroy since 2018 and has a background in Environmental Technologies policy and planning, she served in the Canadian Armed Forces and owned a Dental Technology business. Gallant is now retired, she says she has the time to focus on the issues that matter.
Gallant is environmentally focused, and that could be a good thing for Strathroy-Caradoc. Instead of future growth, Gallant says we need to focus on sustainable growth. She says we need to build up instead of out, and could use more green spaces and amenities.
