myFM continues its 2022 Municipal Election candidate features today with Brian Derbyshire who is one of the 7 names on the ballot for 3 seats in Ward 2 in Strathroy-Caradoc. If his name sounds familiar, it’s because the lifelong area native ran for Mayor in the last election, finishing in 2nd behind our current Mayor. myFM asked Derbyshire why he wasn’t running for Mayor this time around, and the answer is simple, that there is already a good candidate running.
Derbyshire believes people are fed up with the current state of the Municipality.
Over the past number of years there seems to be more and more people who are expressing concerns and frustration with a possible divide between Wards in the Municipality to which Derbyshire says in his opinion it’s not the residents, but leadership itself.
