Early Tuesday morning, Middlesex OPP were called about a stolen vehicle in Ailsa Craig.
The homeowner reported that someone came to their residence looking for help, and when they were distracted the suspect made off with their pickup truck equipped with a snow plow.
Police located the vehicle on Coldstream Road and attempted to block the vehicle.
The suspect had other plans and a cruiser was hit and damaged, before the suspect fled.
Police called off the search due to safety concerns, but the vehicle was later found at a property on Elginfield Road.
Officers learned that another vehicle, this time a 2011 grey Chevrolet Silverado pickup was stolen.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
