A Robbery on Tuesday ended with a collision with a school bus.
At about 5am, members of the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police Service and the Middlesex OPP were called to a house on Keystone Place in Oneida for a robbery.
Two people came to the address to complete a purchase from an online site. Two others were assaulted and the suspects fled. The suspects then collided with a school bus that had adults on board on Sunset Road in Elgin County.
There were no serious injuries. The two suspects, a 16-year-old from Hamilton and a 17-year-old of Ancaster were arrested by Elgin OPP and charged with 6 counts under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act.
The 16-year-old was charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon with a dangerous purpose, possession of cannabis (over 30g) in public, 2 counts of failure to comply with undertaking and failure to comply with release order.
The 17-year-old was charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon with dangerous purpose, possession of cannabis (over 30g) in a public place, failure to comply with undertaking, failure to comply with release order and careless driving.
The accused have been held for bail. Their identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
