The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service has introduced a new Street Crimes Unit that was established on January 1st and has already done some good work serving warrants and laying some charges. Constable Michelle McIntyre says the new unit will focus on urban community issues like property crime, drug trafficking and violent offenses.
The new unit relies on the community reporting any suspicious activity they see. The SCPS covers Strathroy, the former Caradoc Township, Mount Brydges and Melbourne.
