Three years in custody is the sentence for Strathroy-Caradoc’s 28-year-old Alexandre Allie, the man who tried to cross the Peace Bridge with a loaded gun just three days after a double shooting in Strathroy. Appearing in court in Welland Tuesday for weapons-related charges, he had received a five-year global sentence, which was dropped to three years based on the time he spent in presentence custody. Allie’s arrest in Niagara was three days after two men, aged 24 and 30 were shot in a Strathroy downtown apartment. In October of last year in a London courtroom, he plead guilty to multiple charges in relation to the double shooting, and still is waiting for sentencing on those.
