The East Lambton Community Complex Fundraising Committee has surpassed its $2 million goal after 14 months, with a total of $2,097,949. The project included an addition on the south side of the arena with a new gymnasium, banquet hall, a state-of-the-art kitchen and bar, a multi-purpose room, YMCA Fitness facility, lounge area, outdoor kitchen and upgrades to the arena. The Watford Community Arena and Watford Centennial Hall project was approved for a $11.5 Million renewal project in 2020. Work started in spring of 2021 and was completed in October 2022.
George and Rhonda Noll who co-chaired the committee said they are thrilled to have surpassed their goal all due to overwhelming support from individuals, businesses and service groups and sports organizations from the local community.
Warwick Township Mayor Todd Case said what the committee was able to accomplish in just over a year is incredible and he is proud of the work they have done.
Mike Acton, Rick Bebingh, Brad Goodhill, Mark Hamel, Steve Minten, Brad Rombouts, Jackie Rombouts, George & Rhonda Noll, and Todd White were all volunteers on the committee.
