Monte McNaughton, MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, and Rob Flack, MPP for Elgin-Middlesex-London, announced Tuesday that the Ontario government is investing over $1.6 million to help sixteen non-profit organizations continue to deliver services for residents of southwestern Ontario. The selected recipients will all be receiving funding so they can deliver more programs for the community through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund. This funding is part of an Ontario government investment of more than $37 million to help 417 non-profit organizations across the province deliver much-needed community support programs.
“Camp Kee-Mo-Kee is excited about the increased program development made possible by the recent $53,300.00 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation,” said Jill Hodgins, Executive Director of Camp Kee-Mo-Kee. “These funds make it possible to expand and diversify programs throughout the off-season and ensure our facility is safe for the children and community members who visit the camp.”
Funded projects will contribute to improving existing spaces, increasing access to facilities, growing programs, activities and services, and building new facilities.
Since 2018, the Ontario government has invested nearly $545 million in more than 4,900 projects through the Ontario Trillium Foundation, creating more than 4,600 full-time jobs and generating more than $828 million in economic benefits to communities across Ontario.
