Strathroy-Caradoc Police are investigating a possible attempted child abduction. Police tell us on Saturday just after 12pm, Police were called to the area of McKellar Street and Oak Avenue for a reported attempted child abduction. A female child was walking down the pathway beside 305 Oak Avenue towards St. Vincent DePaul school when a unknown male approached her and then when she walked away from him he began chasing her down the pathway. The youth was able to get away to safety and called Police immediately.
The male suspect is described as;
White male, 30-40 years old. Thin build with short brown hair, unshaven facial hair with missing teeth. He was seen wearing a grey shirt and black sweat pants. The suspect had what is believed to be a snake tattoo on his neck and a sleeve tattoo on one of his arms. He had a lip and nose piercing as well as a scar on his chin area.
The suspect was last seen jumping the pathway fence and running into the rear of 305 Oak Ave.
