The Strathroy-Caradoc Museum is set to reveal it’s newest exhibit, which showcases the town’s summer history. Michelle Wright, Curator says the focus is on fun from the past and present.
The exhibit has displays from the Scouts, Caradoc Sands, Glendale, the Lions Pool and Trout Haven. It will also feature festivals and holidays throughout the years in Strathroy-Caradoc. Opening night of the Exhibit is Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm. Wright says they hope people come out and enjoy Strathroy-Caradoc’s rich heritage.
The Strathroy-Caradoc Museum also has some workshops coming up. There are two workshops, for a total of 5 weeks. The first is a Mini Curator Camp, where you can curate your own mini museum. The Second was so popular last year, it’s coming back again. the two-week Museum Theater Camp is back. In June, a Moccasin Making Workshop is taking place. It is currently sold out, but more artist themed workshops will hopefully be coming. There is also a Pride Display, where artists have been invited to submit their work for a pride art display in the lobby. The Museum will be showing the display June 1st – July 8th.
