The Gutsy Walk is making it’s annual return to Strathroy-Caradoc. President of the Strathroy Affiliate of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada, Kevin Eagleson, tells myFM the walk is to raise funds and most importantly, awareness about Crohn’s and Colitis.
Crohn’s and Colitis are both autoimmune disease’s that cause the body to attack the gastrointestinal tract, or part of it. Eagleson says the walk has been an annual event for a lot of years in Strathroy-Caradoc.
Eagleson, who lives with Crohn’s, says having the disease’s is a very disruptive life style.
There is no fee to join the Gutsy Walk. It is a fundraiser, so it is asked that when you sign up, you do try and fundraise. You can find out more and sign up for the 5km or 2km walk at www.gutsywalk.ca.
