The Municipality of North Middlesex wants to hear from its residents as the Draft Recreation & Facilities Master Plan is complete, and looking for feedback. There are 66 recommendations that Monteith-Brown Planning Consultants has provided the municipality. Including things like bolstering arena usage, along with redevelopment or replacement of the arena, exploring alternative uses for Ken Vernon Park and Carnegie library gallery, outdoor fitness equipment, establish a new park in Ailsa Craig to possibly relocate the ball diamond from the community park for potentially pickleball, tennis, basketball courts and more. Also to look into a possible splash pad or skateboard park, and acquiring 5.2 hectares of land through parkland dedication and much more. The Consultants will have a booth at Discover North Middlesex June 10th from 11am – 3pm, where you can stop by and ask questions. Here is the link to the full draft master plan.
