Many Mount Brydges residents turned out to an open house Tuesday evening at the Caradoc Community Centre to see where the new Mount Brydges arena project currently sits. Guests were shown picture boards and had questions answered by council and staff members regarding the next steps moving forward. The arena committee made up of only council members is leaning towards the option of tearing down the current community centre and replacing it with a new multi-purpose facility and new community centre. Committee Chairman Steve Pelkman says public opinion brings weight with it.
myFM also talked to some of the residents who attended.
Chairman Pelkman talked about next steps after the open house.
More residents wanted to speak to myFM.
Pelkman says this open house needed to happen.
More public feedback here…..
Council asked residents to write down questions and thoughts and council will look at public comments and the next arena committee meeting will decide if the option they are leaning towards is the way to go or if they start from scratch again.
