myFM was on location in August 19th, to witness the Grand Re-Opening of Parkhill’s Main Street.
The Main Street was bustling with life as people from Parkhill and surrounding areas gathered to celebrate the Re-Opening.
The project, initiated to update underground watermain infrastructure, had commenced last October, with construction efforts strategically scheduled through winter to minimize business disruption.
Natalie Core, Economic Development and Communications Coordinator for North Middlesex, talks why hosting the event was so important to the community.
She says business have seen an increase in sales with the opening of main street.
Core says the sponsors were a huge part of making the event such a success.
An event such as this is meant to bring together in celebration and that is what this event did.
If you didn’t have the chance to make it out for the Grand Re-Opening, Core talks about what took place during the event.
The event also allowed for the showcase of local talent.
Core spoke about her favourite part of the event.
The event’s realization is attributed to the collaborative efforts of Mainstreet Middlesex, Breex Construction, and Level Project Management.
Their support has not only covered the event’s cost but also brought a burst of color to downtown through new banners and frames.
