A groundbreaking ceremony Thursday commemorated the arrival of Strathroy-Caradoc’s newest manufacturer in the town’s north end. Norbec, a leading Quebec-based manufacturer of insulated metal panels, manufactures products like walk-in coolers and freezers, and is building a 156,000-square-foot plant on nine hectares of industrial land at 990 Wright Street. Jan Lembregts, Norbec President says he chose Strathroy as the home for the plant for some specific reasons.
Strathroy-Caradoc Mayor Colin Grantham says this is an amazing opportunity for the area.
Lembregts says he hopes to see the plant flourish in Strathroy-Caradoc.
The new plant will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and allow for 70 new jobs in the area, with a tentative completion date and grand opening set for around April of next year.
