Strathroy-Caradoc Police have arrested a youth for armed robbery. In the early hours of September 8th, Police received a call about an armed robbery at the Ultramar on 7 Metcalfe Street. The suspect, armed with a knife, demanded items from the store, but fortunately, no one was harmed. Shortly after, the police identified and arrested a 15-year-old male in connection with the incident. He has been charged with armed robbery, disguise with intent, and failing to comply with probation. Due to legal protections for minors, the youth’s identity cannot be disclosed under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). The accused has been placed in custody and is scheduled to appear in a London court on September 10th, 2023.
