After a competitive tender process, Strathroy-Caradoc Council has approved GM BluePlan Engineering to provide engineering services for the Parkhouse Drive and Troops Road Intersection project. The contract’s total value is $74,660, plus HST. The project entails a comprehensive overhaul, aligning with the guidelines established by the Transportation Association of Canada and has become important due to the escalating traffic congestion at that intersection, compounded by reduced visibility caused by the curvature of the respective roads. The contract awarded to GM BluePlan Engineering encompasses the engineering design phase of the project, while a separate tender for the construction phase is anticipated to be released in 2025.
