This is to highlight the dedication and innovation of our local farmers, their families, and their invaluable contributions to our communities.
Today we take a look at our fifth and final sector, Fresh Vegetable Producers brought to you by Mainstreet Credit Union.
We talked with Pauline Slegers from Slegers Living Organic Green Houses who told us how they got their start growing organic greens.
Slegers says they have a wide variety or fresh produce available for those looking to use organic greens.
The produce they grow can be found in a wide variety of places, they even supply their produce to the Clock Tower in Strathroy.
She says that it is because of their dedication and hard work that they became as successful as they are now.
The staff are all part of the local community are a big part of the business’ success. They are an awesome team that supports each other along with Jo and Pauline and work well together, and put a huge effort into making the greens and customer service outstanding.
Slegers also says that is it so important to not only support fresh vegetable farmers, but everyone in the farming industry because they are the backbone of our society.
