Earlier this week myFM reported that Strathroy-Caradoc Police began the practice of posting online traffic stats from all over the Municipality for the public’s viewing.
One area that does not seem pleased with Police coverage are the residents of the Century Drive and Springwell Road area, who according to one upset caller this week to myFM, have been for many months sending letters, contacting the Municipality and Police Board about their concerns of speeding and careless driving in that area.
At the most recent Police Services Board meeting Mayor Colin Grantham stated these concerns are not being overlooked.
The caller to myFM this week said they had requested a Police allocation of one stationary cruiser for three straight hours at that intersection once a month.
myFM reached out to Chairperson of the Police Services Board Councillor John Brennan who stated that he in fact reviewed letters from residents in that area submitted in October and November, and in all those letters, there was no reference to this request, and in addition Brennan added, he did not recall any such request having yet reached the Police Services Board.
