During a council meeting February 5th, Strathroy-Caradoc council approved the update for the Mount Brydges Cenotaph Park sign to better represent the community. The decision followed a motion from November 6th, 2023, directing staff to investigate the cost. Robert Lilbourne, Director of Community Services, reported to council a $2,950 cost for redesigning and installing letters to indicate “Mount Brydges Cenotaph Park.”
Councillor Donna Pammer questioned the expense, but Lilbourne clarified it includes repairs and materials. Despite concerns about complexity, council voted to proceed with the updated design, emphasizing accuracy in reflecting Mount Brydges’ identity. The funding will be drawn from the Wayfinding Strategy Capital Project budget.
