An update now from a story myFM ran for you last week as a criminal investigation continues in Strathroy after the sudden death of a 91-year-old resident at Strathmere Lodge last Thursday. According to Strathroy-Caradoc Police Chief Mark Campbell, criminal investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s unexpected death, which occurred three days after she had a fall.
She was initially taken to the hospital after the fall earlier this month on February 18th and later returned to the long-term care facility. The woman unexpectedly and suddenly passed away three days later on February 21st. Investigators are currently in contact with medical staff and family members.
While the investigation is still in its early stages, officers have completed their physical examination at Strathmere Lodge. The investigation is specifically examining the period between her fall and her passing.
